My Last Track Meet

I had my last Track and Field ever. I had a rough meet but it was ok. Running track and field was one of the greatest experiences I'll probably have. I worked hard and my blood, sweat, and tears are on that track. I love racing a lot and hope to continue it in the future. Sadly I do not think I will be continuing competitive racing in college. I want to focus on school and hopefully snag a part time job.

March Madness! (Out of Order Pictures)

March was by far the LONGEST feeling month so far my senior year. But now it's April and things are speeding up. Even though March did feel like forever, we did some really cool things nearing the end of it:

[For Noah's birthday, we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo and saw the animals and also got to feed one of the Giraffes lettuce]

[I touched his tongue. It felt like sand paper]

[I wanted to take him home!! My bunny needs a boyfriend!]

 [Me gusta]

[We went back to the waterhole. The water decreased by a lot and was not "as" cold but still cold nevertheless.]

[Happy Birthday Noah]

So sad seeing March go. That means I am one more step towards graduating.

OH and I have an iPhone now. So now I can do many more things ;)

Ventura Invitational

This year I am sorry to say that I hardly took any pictures at my last Ventura High School Track and Field Invitational. Mostly because I was lazy but mostly because this year I actually ran!!!!!! Yes me! I ran in a "varsity" race because I am a senior.

and the best part...

I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!

I ran the 4x16 which I did enjoy but holding the baton for 4 laps was not fun :p

We placed second to last but hey who else was going to run the mile.

The event that I really enjoyed though was the 4x800m. That was really fun. We had an amazing first leg so we had a nice lead. We even beat Ventura's A Team!! That was just one of the most memorable races I'll probably ever have :)

We came in 14 out of 19. I'll take it.

Don Green Invitational

Yesterday, was the last time I will probably ever get to run at Moorpark High School again. It was warm with dry wind. Not as hot as previous years, but still a little warm. The mile was up first, typical, and I PR'ed again:

1mile: 5:40

I keep PRing and I hope that is a good thing. It was one of the fastest miles I had ever ran but I had fun. Thanks to a fellow team mate I was able to pace myself the first 3 laps.

The 800m was disappointing on the other hand, right before I was about to finish the dude in front of me abruptly stopped. Killing my time. I was not happy.

800m: 2:31

The rest of the meet was spent in the sun getting burnt.

I LOVE THEIR TRACK and FIELD! I hope I get to comeback, not as a runner but as a supporter and also photographer.

[No one from my school, but sprinters make some of the coolest action shots]

[Our brave souls who ran the 2 mile. They have balls to do that event]

Although it was an O.K day I still had fun :)

Meltin [February-March]

I haven't blogged thing since January. Sorry February, but you were the most stressful month by far!!!!!! Here's a recap with lots of pictures:

  • Chinese New Year (I made my friends red good luck envelopes each containing: a crane, 50 cents, an origami heart, and a mini fortune)
  • Valentine's day (I brought back corny pick up lines and crocheted hearts as a garnish for the envelopes. I worked really hard and I hoped everyone liked their card)
  • Track practice was BRUTAL since it was pre-season
  • The bunny has been alive for more than a month now
  • It has been finally feeling like winter now. There was a big storm and cold weather makes me feel lazy.
  • No more pig bag. After over a year and half of abuse it was time for a new sports bag. I still have to pig though. (its on my binder)
  • I got asked as well as went to the Sadie's dance which was 80s themed (appropriately named S80s)
  • In art I finished my paper-mache octopus, and we started using clay again! Oh how I missed class so much!

[Chinese New Year was very last minute this year. I was not sure if I would be able to make red envelopes this year because I could not find any, but thanks to my Auntie I was able to pull it off]

[I am not even going to begin with Valentine's Day. This is the last year in high school that I would get a chance to hand out home made Valentine cards to my friends, and I am proud to say that this year was the best. I crocheted flowers and hearts for the envelopes (which took 2 months) and I brought back "corny" pick up lines from sophomore year. With these cards came a couple of chocolate kisses. I love Valentine's Day in high school. I am sure going to miss it]

[I purchased a prayer banner. I have been wanting one for the longest time. Thank you Namaste in Santa Barbara]

[Oreo is alive and well. It is safe to say that we are doing something right for our bun. She is a spoiled queen who get her cage cleaned out daily. She hates being picked up and loves being pet. She is slowly but surely learning her name.]

[She is fucking weird. I love her. ]

[Ventura County got one of its biggest rain storms in a LONG TIME! It was nice. So nice that is cancelled my track meet against Thousand Oaks and Fillmore.  Instead of the meet we had a time-trial at my own track.

1 mile: 5:44
800m: 2:28

Fuck Yeah]

[Last Wednesday, we had a PENTAmeet against Royal, Channel Islands, Oxnard, and Santa Clara. There was so many athletes it felt like and invitational. As a school we got smashed but individually, we did O.K

1mile- 5:42. 10 (NEW PR)
800m- 2:28.8 (stayed the same)

[I passed the C.I dude right at the last second. Fuck yeah.]

What a great start to my last Track and Field Season.

Tomorrow is the Don Green Invitational.
