this week seemed to have flew by extremely fast. it is already thursday. thursday!! it was a "decent" week so i cannot really complain. today i felt an abundance of love from my two babies oreo and mochi! they are the cutest creatures and i would not give them up for anything. i love how mochi likes to curl up beside me on my bed. i feel the love. right now it is drizzling. i love the rain. the sweater weather. i need to remember to never go to school without something to keep warm in. it does get cold waiting outside. while the weather outside may be amazing, it put a stop to my pomegranate season and i enjoyed the last of biscotti for this morning's snack

today was a stay at home day. i did go to the farmer's market but that is about it. so a boring day. not much to talk about. i did write my first letter to paulina. i miss her. i also observed my cat and bunny a lot today. i even found out my bunny killed a bird. not happy but what can you do with a greedy bunny who will not share her guava tree. but i am not stressed so i am content.

Vintage Pyrex & Rubber Stamps
Over the past month or so, my mother and I have been finding quite a bit of vintage pyrex on our thrifting adventures and as well as at the swap meet (flea market). We really do love vintage pyrex for its very cute design as well as the quality. They just do not make pyrex now like in the "good'ol days" but its ok because its one more thing to keep an eye out for at the thrift stores and makes those thrifting trips even more fun!
At the swap meet last week, I was also able to buy a whole box of rubber stamps for $10. A lot of the stamps were ones that I didn't really like but, what I did have my eye out for were these vintage stamps. Out of the whole box I kept these because:
[This one is a more common design but reminds us more of grandma]
[I found this one all on my own at Goodwill and I hope to bring this with me to college]
[This one is now our bunnies food bowl so it is easier to eat from than a bowl]

- vintage stamps are very expensive
- they were in the best condition
- they needed a new home
[That turtle stamp was one of the reasons I bought the whole shoe box]

Spring Break 2014
My last spring break in high school (three weeks ago(sorry)). It was by far one of the best breaks I have had in a while. I spent most of it with my brother and my dad and it was fun. We went up north to the Monterey Bay Area-San Francisco Bay Area without an itinerary and it was awesome. We did whatever we wanted to do and nothing we didn't want to do.
[I started my spring break off by going to my brother's confirmation ceremony [officially a Catholic]]
[My bun's lips are the sweetest]
[Old Volkswagon that needs a little love]
The morning right before my trip up north I was finally able to go to the Ventura Flea Market. I have been wanting to go to this market for a few months now and spring break rolls along I was able to go. It's a moderately sized flea market with rows and rows and rows of just stuff. Random shit. My mom and I did not find anything that we truly loved until we were just about to go. She found a pyrex mixing bowl (large) and I got a huge abalone shell. Abalone is my favorite mollusk but is sadly going extinct due to over fishing.
[2x the size of my original shell]
[In Monterey we stayed with my Aunt in her hotel suite (Thank you Auntie Jenny)]
I had my first Indian food experience ever! It was really good! I had some seconds thought about eating Indian food because the dishes aren't very "attractive" looking and smell heavily of spices and what not, but I really enjoyed all the dishes! I was some of the most flavorful food I have ever tasted and I would definitely come back.

I got to go to Santa Cruz! Please take me back! I kinda want to go there for school now. I fell in love with UCSC and Santa Cruz!!!!!!!!!!! So foresty and green I loved everything about Santa Cruz.
[This is my top school right now]
[ I went to San Francisco. Anything goes there]
[My love]
All in all, I had a memorable trip. It re-enforced why I need to go out and explore the world. There so much to see but only little bit of time. I want to go back in the summer.

Ventura Invitational
This year I am sorry to say that I hardly took any pictures at my last Ventura High School Track and Field Invitational. Mostly because I was lazy but mostly because this year I actually ran!!!!!! Yes me! I ran in a "varsity" race because I am a senior.
and the best part...
I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!
I ran the 4x16 which I did enjoy but holding the baton for 4 laps was not fun :p
We placed second to last but hey who else was going to run the mile.
The event that I really enjoyed though was the 4x800m. That was really fun. We had an amazing first leg so we had a nice lead. We even beat Ventura's A Team!! That was just one of the most memorable races I'll probably ever have :)
We came in 14 out of 19. I'll take it.
