Over the past month or so, my mother and I have been finding quite a bit of vintage pyrex on our thrifting adventures and as well as at the swap meet (flea market). We really do love vintage pyrex for its very cute design as well as the quality. They just do not make pyrex now like in the "good'ol days" but its ok because its one more thing to keep an eye out for at the thrift stores and makes those thrifting trips even more fun!
[This one is a more common design but reminds us more of grandma]
[I found this one all on my own at Goodwill and I hope to bring this with me to college]
[This one is now our bunnies food bowl so it is easier to eat from than a bowl]
At the swap meet last week, I was also able to buy a whole box of rubber stamps for $10. A lot of the stamps were ones that I didn't really like but, what I did have my eye out for were these vintage stamps. Out of the whole box I kept these because:
- vintage stamps are very expensive
- they were in the best condition
- they needed a new home
When I first brought them home, I quickly scrubbed them down with a toothbrush and some soapy water and soon they were like brand new! Their last owner did not take very good care of them, but at least they now have a new home and I love stamping cards before I give them away.
[That turtle stamp was one of the reasons I bought the whole shoe box]
[Oreo loves her sprouts!]
