my oreo and bella
today was a stay at home day. i did go to the farmer's market but that is about it. so a boring day. not much to talk about. i did write my first letter to paulina. i miss her. i also observed my cat and bunny a lot today. i even found out my bunny killed a bird. not happy but what can you do with a greedy bunny who will not share her guava tree. but i am not stressed so i am content.

a cleanse
fridays i have no school. this week really caused me stress and i needed to go to nature. i needed to cleanse my mind and just relax. so i jumped on to bus 6 and rode to ventura to go on a little hike at arroyo verde. the weather was perfect. not too hot nor too cold. i hiked on the trail that lead to one of highest points in the park. i collected some sage on the way and some fossils. just being on top of the park felt like being on top of the world. i could see the all of ventura and oxnard. it was just nice being in nature. i feel like my soul was cleansed. i hope to go again soon, arroyo verde will always be one of my favorite places on this planet.

statistics: devotion
this week i devoted my life to statistics. i spent nearly every day this week in the library studying for a test that i had this morning. i am happy to say that i feel really confident in how i did this morning and hope that relays on how i actually did. i now have to catch up on my other classes which i sadly neglected.
on other news. the cat's name is "Bella" and she perfect

a pretty kitty
last sunday i found a cat in our backyard. i thought she was the cutest cat ever. all she wanted was to be petted. i have not seen her since sunday and today she appeared in our front porch and was lounging on the porch bench. she helped herself to some cat food that dante had bought her and she was happy. i wish we could keep her but a cat would be quite the investment. we think she does belong to someone and she just explores our neighborhood as she pleases.

Life at the moment no. 1
this blog has suffered. i am sorry for being such a lazy procrastinator. i have been saying the past 8 weeks "today i will blog!" but then i didn't. i need to get back. i forgot the feeling of writing for fun. i am in college now trying to be as a happy i can be and not get too stuck in the whirling vortex that is school. i love the feeling of learning, the freedom that is college, and the uncertainty of what will happen next.

Avocado Moisturizing Face Mask
Today I have a tutorial on making an avocado face mask that not only cleanses skin but also moisturizes! I have oily skin and this mask has done a good job at keeping my skin from getting supper oily and also keep acne on the down low. This mask will also be beneficial to every skin type! Do not use if you are allergic to any of the following ingredients!
Here are what you will need:
- 1/2 an avocado
- 1 tsp of honey
- 1/4 of a lemon
- a small container to store leftovers
- stirring device
Not only is avocado fantastic for eating, it is an amazing ingredient for a simple face mask. Please keep in mind that this avocado mask does not last forever. If kept in the fridge it will last at most for about a week. So now lets jump into the directions.
[Mush it up as well as you can to get all the little bumps out]
Step 2: Avocado browns really fast due to oxidization, so to keep it looking more fresh squeeze the lemon onto your already mushed avocado. Lemon is also a fantastic remedy for acne and will help reduce pimples!!
Step 3 (*optional): After you squeeze the lemon onto the avocado nows the time to incorporate the brown sugar. This step is for an exfoliating effect to help rid the face of dead skin. I usually take a few extra brown sugar packets whenever I make a quick run to Starbucks or The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
Step 4: Now is the time to incorporate the moisturizing effect of this mask. Honey is a great natural moisturizer for the skin and is great when combined with avocado. Just drizzle in the honey and stir it up well.
Ta-da! You just finished your avocado face mask!!!
You may use it now or save it for later use.
How to use mask:
- rinse face with warm water
- apply a thin layer of avocado face mask to face
- let mask dry for 10-15 min
- wipe avocado off face with damp paper towel or rag
- rinse off with cold water
- use your favorite moisturizer
Did you like this tutorial? Should I make more?
