The race was a two mile course that was a bit hilly but only contained one hill appropriately named "Agony Hill" for its ability to make even the strongest runners to walk.
When I had my own race at 2:30 for the being the 7th fastest JV runner apparently the weather was a bit on the warmer side. When I started the race I was unprepared for the kinda pace I was supposed to be running. I started out with a three mile pace but I soon had to speed up because everyone was going FAST! I ran the race smoothly until I reached Agony Hill. That was absolute HELL! My thighs were burning and I tried passing some dude who kept blocking me. I didn't walk even though I really really wanted to. There was also hay bales we had to jump over and there were 11 scattered throughout the entire course.
I loved this race. It's gorgeous. The course is 2 miles and just also hanging out with my XC made it all worth while. We did our best and we will do better next meet :)
